I go to check in with Aer Lingus, an older lady at the desk scans my passport...chit chatting away...looks at me & says, "And your fully vaccinated, right".
I looked at her & DID NOT say "NO I AM NOT", instead I said, "I have my card here (Vaccine Control Group card)"
I went to get my card out & she said "Oh no need, I don’t need to see it, its fine!" 😏
So I didnt even get to show it, they are assuming everyone is jib jabbed! She smiled & handed me my passport & boarding card. It had been 3yrs since I had been in New York to see my dear friends of 82yrs, so I was so happy to finally be there with them again.
Flying home was easy, no questions asked👌I plan on going out again the beginning of May✈️✈️
I freaked out just a month before our big trip to Australia from Spain via USA when I found out they require full covid vaccinated even for quick stopovers.
We contacted Control Group who responded quickly, ordered our cards & crossed our fingers, still feeling a bit worried of getting stuck in London.
We departed Barcelona to London, then onto LA with British Airways then to Melbourne with Qantas. Nobody asked for any V documents while checking in or boarding, at all!! 🥳
British Airways sent me an email asking for vax info so we could do online check in but I just ignored it; knowing full well that we would check in in person anyway as we were travelling with a baby.
The quick response from the Control Group plus having the ID cards & printed letter gave us the confidence to go, even though we were a bit worried, plus also all these successes here 😇
Thanks everyone 🙏 Happy vax free travels 🥳🥳🥳
My mom was denied access at the CDC-controlled Toronto Pearson Airport on her Delta flight to Atlanta. She is Canadian resident with a Canadian passport and also had her Certificate of US Citizenship, hopefully to get through the US vax requirement at that airport.
She called me, I texted and emailed her VCG card and Letter to try one more time on a later Delta flight (before resorting to going to the CANAM land border) and SUCCESS! She was only allowed access because of showing her CG card and letter!
I am beyond grateful to our CG - we haven't seen her in 3.5 years and this will be our first Christmas together in a long time! Thank you so much - so grateful! ❤️

Additional success!
I got my mother a refund on the portion when she changed her flight from Toronto to Buffalo. And they didn’t charge her extra for a same day flight change from the same airport. ‼️👍💫💫
As 70+ year old pensioners we would NOT have had the courage to fly to USA to be reunited with our son, daughter-in-law and two new grandchildren without the encouragement of others in this community.
On advice from the group, we booked with United Airlines to fly Sydney to Houston. We checked in at the airport on the kiosk system and when it stalled because we didn't have all the documentation, someone came to assist us.
We showed our cards and he asked who was running the group, I said, "It is an international study group based out of UK." He asked do you have any documentation, I showed the letter and he said fine and pressed the necessary buttons.
We checked bags and were through. On arrival in Houston, we simply presented our passports was asked if we had any food with us which we did, he asked how long we were staying and then we were through ❤️
Domestic flight through to South Carolina and safe in the arms of our son and family. Eternally grateful.
